About the Game

First submission, woo. The game is not much, but considering I work on weekends I had only about 10 hours total to make it, so it's a miracle it's even out. (literally writing this at 6AM)

I really hope it's playable and an interesting take on the idea. It's very short. You can beat it in 3 minutes, 2 if you speedrun it. Also you will lose at least once just because I had no time to balance it lol.

BACKSTORY:

You have entered the pyramid in search of a long forgotten artifact. Now it's within your grasp. You must take it and get away FAST, but maybe the old king dvorak won't let you get away that easily.

LAUNCHING:

Made 3 builds for Windows, Mac, and Linux. They're in their respective zip folders. You just download it, extract it and double-click on the exe if on windows, and if on linux or mac then you'll figure it out.

It's clearly not a bug and is even explained ingame

Not sure how it was a bug but the WASD dissapearing definitely was cool

Very good stuff. The bugs are features, as in they are part of the challenge.

Had a lot of glitch theme intreperted. With curse losing ability to use some buttons and some places had to run backwards even when in the beginning didnt get the cursed object.

Enjoyment

Felt like a basic fps platformer, solid but nothing special. Works great for a first submission at least

Every time the dark eye monster mouth thingy attacked me I screamed and died and then wanted to play again lol

Very enjoyable! I did catch a bug where the WASD sign didn't update after I had lost A and D though. But otherwise great. I didn't grab the artifact (Was I smart or did I find a bug?) so I kept my W key and speedran it the second time through.

It went harder with the bug :).

Aesthetics

Could do with a bit more sound but otherwise nicely done and the ambient fits. The breathing at the end is kinda kek

The game has a nice spooky feel to it with the darkness

Super simple visuals, but highly effective. Not sure what you used exactly (depth of field, shaders etc), but it all made it look like it's own place. Very good lighting especially. The enemy looked great too.

Art and audio was really really good. Really enjoyed it.

Innovation

Seen this wasd removal/shuffling a lot in gamejams with a theme like this

Not sure if I've seen this specific idea before, but I've seen similar. And more could be done with this. So top marks on all the rest of the points, but slightly lower for innovation for me.

Bonus

Extra marks for suffering alone at high speed.
